Most of us will have days when we feel tired and have no energy. This is normal and there can be many reasons for this. Chronic fatigue syndrome is more extreme, it is when we feel tired every day and cannot understand why. Chronic fatigue symptoms can easily by mistaken for those of mild flu or a high blood pressure; therefore it is not always diagnosed correctly.
If you have chronic fatigue syndrome then you will feel tired over long periods of time. This is often accompanied by headaches, cramps, and nausea. The condition does not improve even after rest, if not treated then the disorder can cause many problems. This can include absenteeism from school or work, feelings of anxiety and irritability, and a decrease in the ability to drive.
Also, it is now believed that chronic fatigue may have been responsible for many road fatalities. If you fall asleep when driving then the consequences are often deadly.
It can happen that your tiredness will disappear if you modify your lifestyle. This can include changing your diet and exercise regime. If you have tried doing this and still feel tired every day then it may be time to make an appointment with a doctor. There are various treatments they can offer, they will try to understand the reason for your condition and prescribe you medications to lessen the symptoms.
There are various factors which may lead you to have chronic fatigue syndrome. It could be the side effects of a surgery or infection. There is no actual cure currently known. The treatments and techniques that are generally offered will address the symptoms rather than the actual problem.
If you have any pains or discomfort over a period of time then you will realise that there is something wrong. It can take some time for us to get concerned enough to visit our local health clinic. Chronic fatigue syndrome will gradually get worse over the months and years so it is best to get advice sooner rather than later.
